Spring Award Details

The Indiana Audubon Society’s Earl Brooks Conservation Award recognizes persons whose services to the cause of conservation and environmental protection have been and are outstanding.

If you are interested in nominating someone, please fill out the online form below. Nominations must be received at least one month prior to the May Meeting.

The Earl Brooks Conservation Award is given to a deserving individual at the Spring Meeting of the Indiana Audubon Society that takes place the first weekend of May every year.

Nominations for this award should be received one month prior to the meeting.

  Award Qualities
Minimize

Membership in and service to, primarily, the Indiana Audubon Society, Inc., or, secondarily, to a similar conservation organization or organizations in the state of Indiana for a minimum of ten years;

Faithful and dedicated service to the cause of conservation and the preservation of the environment;

Distinguished “conservation leadership” not only in the persons' own communities, but also at the state or regional or national level as well;

Provide inspirational qualities for conservation leadership;

Originality in some form – the person’s own special stamp or way- ornithological or other scientific contributions, political leadership in conservation legislation, industrial or educational contributions to the cause of conservation;
