Indiana Audubon Society Field Trips

Minimize

The Indiana Audubon Society sponsors statewide birding field trips several times throughout the year. The trips are led by avid bird watchers and usually begin at sunrise. Members and non-members of the Society are always welcome to join the field trips and carpooling is suggested during the outings.

Alan Bruner, IAS Field Trip Chair, works tirelessly to plan and organize the trips. Be sure to check the events calendar often!

  Field Trip Policy Change
Minimize

The Indiana Audubon Society sponsors field trips throughout the state and occasionally outside Indiana for the benefit of its members and to promote the goals of the organization. We will soon be scheduling field trips for the remainder of 2009 and into 2010, some of which will extend over a three-to-four-day period. In the past anyone was welcome to join us and participate fully. This will not change as our field trips will continue to be open to all interested parties. However beginning in 2010 we will be charging non-members a participation fee of $15 per person/per day. Children under 18 can attend free of charge. These moneys will be used to cover expenses in planning additional field trips and/or support other projects conducted by the society. Non-members wishing to attend our field trips can join Indiana Audubon Society in lieu of paying a daily fee. We will continue to do our best to plan a quality experience and sincerely hope you will take advantage of our offerings.
