The Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary

The Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary is located in Fayette County, Indiana near Connersville. (Map) (Google Map) Since the initial gift of 600 acres from Alice Green Gray and Congressman Finley H. Gray in the 1940s, the sanctuary has grown to over 700 acres of forest, meadow, prairie and ponds.

Hiking

Miles of foot trails through varied habitats have been laid out and marked.

Fishing and Camping

Fishing and primitive camping are available to Indiana Audubon Society members.

Building Facilities

    Brooks Hall

    A multipurpose building with a meeting room for 175 people.

  • Markle Barn

    Markle Barn

    A kitchen and dining area for 150 people.

  • Denzel Barricklow Memorial Amphitheater

    An outdoor meeting area.

These facilities may be reserved for use by church and community groups, clubs and other organizations for meetings, conferences, picnics and nature study (for a nominal donation). Contact
